Welcome to Little Cayman Islands

Little Cayman Island is 87 miles northeast of Grand Cayman, five miles west of Cayman Brac, 480 miles from Miami and 90 miles south of Havana. The island itself - 10 miles long and 1 mile wide - is blessed with 21 miles of spectacular coastline and, just offshore, incredible coral reefs teeming with over 150 kinds of coral and more than 500 species of fish. First discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1503 and rarely visited (except for the occasional pirate) until recent times, Little Cayman is now a favorite destination of modern day explorers, photographers, naturalists and, of course, divers. The Rooms at Little Cayman Beach Resort
Our pool-view rooms are spacious, air-conditioned and feature tasteful tropical decor. Each comes with a balcony or patio, cable TV, ceiling fan and private bath. For the ultimate in comfort, our luxury oceanfront rooms are complete with microwave, refrigerator and coffeemaker, as well as private balcony or patio. You may also like to take a dip in our freshwater pool or unwind in the Jacuzzi.

Note: All rooms are smoke-free. Guests may smoke on the patio or in the bar area.

The Food
Don't forget to pack your appetite and thirst, because great-tasting food and ice-cold beverages abound. The Bird of Paradise Restaurant offers dining in a casual atmosphere, both indoors in air-conditioned comfort and outdoors under swaying palms in an alfresco setting. Meals are served buffet style. Special "theme night" buffet dinners feature continental menus and island specialties. Beach Nuts Bar is a poolside bar overlooking the beach, and specializing in refreshing, tropical drinks.

Reef Divers Dive Center

Reef Divers offers guided SCUBA diving boat tours, snorkeling trips, complete PADI and NAUI instructional programs (including one-day resort courses, 4-day full certifications, advanced training and Nitrox certification), an air-conditioned classroom; 220 aluminum 80 cu. ft. and 63 cu. ft. SCUBA tanks, as well as 15 complete sets of Sherwood rental equipment; and an equipment repair service. The Dive Center sells a complete selection of SCUBA diving equipment, accessories and Reef Divers and Little Cayman Beach Resort logo dive sportswear. Nitrox certification and diving are also available. The Reef Divers' dive center provides fresh water rinsing tanks, fresh water showers, a dive gear storage area, and restrooms. Reef Divers uses two new Mako 30 cfm, electric-powered, air-cooled dive compressors, complete with state-of-the-art filtration system and plenty of air storage capacity, as well as a Nitrox Technologies Membrane system for Nitrox fills.

Dive Boats
Reef Divers' guests enjoy the advantage of three custom-designed Newton 42' dive boats — Reef Fanta-Seas, Island Sister and Cayman Sister. Custom-designed for diving at Little Cayman, these dive boats were built by Newton Boats, Inc., Slidell, Louisiana and fabricated to American Bureau of Shipping specifications. They are powered by twin Caterpillar 350 hp, 3126 cat diesel engines. These Newton dive boats are a diver's dream- 42' long and 16' wide with a cruising speed of 25 mph!

Pool-View Rooms
28 spacious Pool View rooms are situated on either side of the pool in two-story “treetop height” buildings, surrounded by lush tropical foliage.

The resort has everything you need to make your stay special. In the Mermaid Boutique, pick up t-shirts for the family back home, postcards or an island souvenir. Reef Diver's dive shop offers everything for snorkeling and diving, plus t-shirts, hats and other accessories. We also have a 1,500 square foot conference and meeting center.

Little Cayman boasts the third largest bird sanctuary in the Caribbean. We encourage our guests to arrange for a tour to see all the sites on Little Cayman. Visit the new museum, bird life observatory, the old cemetery, the Baptist Church and much more.

Beach Nuts Bar offers cool drinks which can be enjoyed at the bar or pool side. As the sun begins to set, you will enjoy a wide variety of gourmet specialties, delicious fresh seafood and sumptuous island favorites in our air-conditioned Bird of Paradise Restaurant, or dine alfresco among the swaying palms on our screened patio.

Accommodations at Paradise Villas, Little Cayman

Located a mere 50 feet from the Caribbean Sea are twelve Caymanian style one bedroom villas with either one King or two Twin beds as well as a pullout couch in the living room. Each villa also has air conditioning, ceiling fans, cable television, a private bathroom and shower, and a living / dining area with a kitchenette

The kitchenette includes a microwave, refrigerator, toaster, and coffee machine as well as the necessary utensils

Your villa covers 550 square feet in total, has a garden view porch as well as a large ocean view porch where the only thing separating you from the Sea are sand, sea grapes, and siesta perfect hammocks. The freshwater swimming pool and sundeck is located between the villas and the restaurant

Located steps away from your home away from home is the Hungry Iguana Restaurant and Bar, the only a la carte restaurant on Little Cayman. The 'Iggy' has the only waterfront dining on the Island too.

The regular menu features Caribbean Specialties (conch chowder, grilled fish, and lobster) and International Favorites (sandwiches, salads, burgers, Curries, and Italian dishes). With a large selection of dishes, you can economize on your food expenses or 'splurge a bit' if you choose.

Chef Anu and his team prepare daily lunch and dinner specials. Each night has a theme, Italian Night, Curry Night, Pizza Night etc.. Considering the fact that all of our 'supplies' arrive only once per week by barge - you will wonder how it is possible for our chefs to consistently produce great food!

You can either dine inside the cozy, marine theme restaurant or choose to enjoy your meal at water's edge on our large dining patio. We are pleased to announce the opening of our new non-smoking dining room. This new room is ideal for small groups or for intimate, private dining.

The large bar area is equipped with satellite TV and our smiling bartenders are always ready to mix a tropical drink for you. Live music is featured regularly. Ask any Islander and they will tell you that the 'Iguana' is the most popular place on the island.
